Job Responsibilities:Conduct regular inspections of university buildings, facilities, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, electrical work, HVAC system checks, and minor carpentry.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to address issues and minimize disruptions.
Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues reported by university staff and students.
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements for future reference.
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for various university assets.
Carry out scheduled inspections and maintenance activities to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to maintain a safe environment for all occupants.
Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies.
Monitor stock levels and initiate procurement of necessary items to support maintenance operations.
Work closely with other members of the Facilities Management team to coordinate maintenance activities with ongoing university events and operations.
Collaborate with custodial staff to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
Prepare regular maintenance reports for the Facilitation Manager..
