If you share our level of enthusiasm for your future, join our team.Position Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced Customer Services and Central Procurement Specialist with expertise in pricing, system management, and operating procedures to join our team. The individual will take responsibility for central procurement and customer service, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. This role requires a strong understanding of pricing strategies, excellent knowledge of operating procedures, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.Key Duties and Responsibilities1. Customer ServiceProvide excellent customer service and support to clients throughout the freight forwarding process.Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient order processing, shipment tracking, and timely delivery.Proactively communicate with customers to provide updates on shipments and resolve any issues.2. Central ProcurementDevelop and implement central procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency.Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers, carriers, and service providers.Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to ensure competitive pricing and quality services.Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for improvement.Develop pricing strategies for freight forwarding services to maximize profitability.Analyze market rates, customer requirements, and operational costs to determine competitive pricing.Collaborate with sales and operations teams to develop customized pricing proposals.Regularly review and update pricing structures based on market changes and business objectives.3. System and Operating Procedure ManagementOversee the implementation and management of freight forwarding systems and operating procedures.Identify areas for process improvement and streamline operational workflows.Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for procurement and customer service activities.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies in all operating procedures.4. Performance Monitoring and ReportingMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement, pricing, and customer service.Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.Prepare regular reports on performance metrics, including cost savings, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.Present findings and recommendations to senior management to drive strategic decision-making.Required Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).Extensive experience in freight forwarding operations, with a focus on pricing and system management.In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies and vendor management.Proficiency in using freight forwarding software and systems.Strong understanding of operating procedures and industry regulations.Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.What We Offer?At DumaTrans, we offer a competitive salary, a supportive work environment, and an opportunity for you to develop a distinctive career path that reflects your unique talents and skills.
