We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Labrador City. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight on a variety of projects related to structural engineering for our heavy industrial clients. We are looking for someone interested by a fly-in fly-out schedule.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and oversight on structural engineering projects.
Manage and lead a team of engineers and designers.
Perform structural analysis and design.
Prepare and review project reports, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other design professionals to ensure successful project delivery.
Attend project meetings and coordinate with client representatives and contractors as required during the construction phase.
Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and provide recommendations for repairs or remediation.
Review and provide technical guidance on structural engineering standards and codes.
Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance and support as needed.
Our essentials:
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
10+ years of experience in structural engineering.
5+ years of experience in Industrial, Mining & Metal, Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, Power, or Nuclear plants/facilities.
Extensive knowledge of structural engineering principles, codes, and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage and lead a team of engineers and designers.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
