Queenstown The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for the role of Registered Nurse to work in the West Coast District Hospital. Registered Nurse – Permanent Full-time and Part Time – Multiple Positions Emergency Registered Nurse or Aged Care Registered Nurse As a Registered Nurse, you will strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals. We are seeking to recruit multiple roles across our facility. Significant experience in Emergency Nursing or Aged Care Nursing would be highly advantageous to potential candidates. The Role and the Team: The West Coast Hospital includes 9 sub-acute care beds inclusive of 1 Palliative Suite, a 2 Bed Emergency First Response Unit, a 16 bed Aged Care Residential facility and visiting services such as Radiology, Diabetic Clinic, Physiotherapy and Podiatry. Details of Appointment: Multiple permanent, full time or part time, shift-worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $75,902 to $102,908 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available. Relocation assistance is available for this position for interstate and international applicants, limits apply. Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
  • Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
