Job Description: Piping ManagerPosition OverviewThe Piping Manager is crucial for ensuring the successful design, installation, and operation of piping systems in petrochemical processing units.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and ExecutionDevelop and manage piping project plans, schedules, and budgets.Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project teams to ensure seamless integration of piping systems.Oversee the design, procurement, and installation of piping systems.Design and EngineeringEnsure piping designs comply with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASTM, ASME, API).Review and approve piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), isometric drawings, and material specifications.Conduct 3D model reviews and ensure the accurate layout of piping systems.Team ManagementLead and mentor a team of piping engineers, designers, and drafters.Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance.Conduct performance reviews and support professional development.Quality Control and SafetyImplement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures.Ensure all piping work adheres to safety standards and protocols.Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance.Vendor and Stakeholder CoordinationLiaise with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of piping materials and equipment.Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.Manage change orders and variations in project scope.Documentation and ReportingPrepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, and as-built drawings.Report project status to senior management and stakeholders.Ensure proper documentation of all project phases for future reference.Educational QualificationBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Full Time)ExperienceMinimum of 13 years of experience in piping design and project management within the Chemical, Petrochemical, or Oil and Gas industry.Technical Competencies/SkillsProficiency in piping design software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, Caesar II, CADWorx, or similar tools.Understanding of industry codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API).Experience in designing piping systems for hazardous materials.Excellent project management and leadership skills.Familiarity with project management principles and practices, including scheduling, cost estimation, and risk management.Behavioral CompetenciesStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.Reporting ToProject Manager PRB
