Operations Manager

DESIGNATION: Operations Manager (Waterpark) REPORTING TO: General Manager DEPARTMENT: Park Operations POSITION SUMMARYThe Operations Manager oversees waterpark operations to achieve company goals and ensure guest satisfaction while meeting financial objectives. Responsibilities include managing Aquatics, First Aid, Security, and Park Services, along with assisting in daily operations.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead all waterpark operations according to procedures.- Oversee managerial staff for productivity and performance.- Analyze operational data and guide Park Managers.- Manage teams in Ticketing, Retail, F&B, Guest Services, Aquatics, Maintenance, Security, and Emergency Management.- Handle administrative tasks: scheduling, reporting, cash handling.- Ensure staff training and policy enforcement.- Monitor pool operations for health and safety compliance.- Assist in annual budget coordination and facility maintenance.- Maintain professionalism and work extended hours as needed.- Attend staff meetings and stay current with certifications.REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience in Aquatics Management, Park/Recreation Administration, Business, or Marketing.- Preferred experience in Aquatics or Waterparks.- 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in Theme Parks or Hospitality.SKILLS & COMPETENCIES- Knowledge of Aquatics Management principles.- Effective relationship management with clients, employees, and patrons.- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and facility software.- Strong communication skills.- Flexibility and adaptability.- Effective public speaking.- Excellent organizational and planning skills.- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.- Strong leadership and people management skills.- Ability to design competitive and profitable strategies.
