F5 Engineer - CONTRACT - Remote

POSITIONThe role is for an IT Network Security specialist who will be working as part of a newly developed service and its associated connectivity infrastructureRESPONSIBILITIESDeliver on premise configuration across F5, DNS, and routing and switching environmentsImplementation of LTM across global Web suite - change work will be required outside of core hoursConfigure existing LTM and assist with enabling WAF in F5.Troubleshooting and vendor management in case of error in the environment and functionalityCreate supporting design, execution and change management documentationEnsure that Service Delivery Targets are met for services.Develop automation capabilities to reduce infrastructure complexity and manual effortCollaborate and communicate with business stakeholders and IT teamsPlanning, design, and implementation in case of maintenance activitiesREQUIREMENTSStrong hands-on experience with designing, configuring, and troubleshooting F5 LTM - SME in LTMExperience of implementing new LTM packages.Working knowledge of DDI (DNS, DHCP and IPAM), Cisco routing & switching.Writing custom irules to assist defence against DDOS attacks.Must have participated in developing highly available load balancer designs and architectures in the context of critical infrastructure and service deployment.Must have relevant experience working in a large Global Financial organisation.Excellent client-facing communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) are a mustRigorous attention to detail, strong organisational skills and able to work to tight deadlinesConfident working both independently and collaboratively across internal, external and hybrid global teamsProactive and passionate mindset with an inquisitive nature to understand the customer's environment in an approachable mannerCan propose alternative solutions to a problem whilst working collaboratively with other team members.Beneficial experience working with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, CI/CDBeneficial experience working with DevOps tools (e.g. GitHub, Jira, Confluence)Beneficial to have a good understanding on external Cloud Service Providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) PRB
