Senior Backend Spring Boot Developer - Java ExpertOPES Software is actively looking for candidates with a dynamic and positive attitude to join our team. We are looking for a Senior Backend Spring Boot Developer - Java Expert to help us execute on our company's business mission through evolution of our current product offerings and the development and deployment of the company's new products launches. Department: Programming Project Location(s): Remote / Hybrid Compensation: Competitive Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain robust backend systems using Spring Boot and Java technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient solutions and deliver high-quality software. Architect and build microservices to enhance system flexibility and scalability. Optimize and improve existing backend applications for performance and reliability. Work closely with databases, ensuring data integrity and optimal query performance. Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in backend development. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or relevant experience. 7+ years of proven expertise in Java development, with a focus on Spring Boot framework. Extensive experience as a senior backend developer, with a track record of building scalable applications. Strong core programming skills with proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js. Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs. Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design principles. Proficiency in working with databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with cloud platforms. Understanding of agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git). Knowledge of backend frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django, or Express.js. Excellent team collaboration and communication skills. Fluent in English (written and spoken) - Mandatory. Previous experience in the financial or fintech industry is highly desirable. Everyone on the OPES team plays an equal role.
