Job summary
MISSION:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical components and systems during the fabrication and construction phase of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
TASKS:
Conduct inspections of electrical components and systems during the fabrication phase to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Verify that materials, fabrication processes, and finished products meet quality standards.
Perform electrical testing, inspections, and verifications, including continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, and functional testing.
Ensure all electrical fabrication activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated with relevant codes and standards, including IEC, NEC, and other applicable regulations.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure quality and compliance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Certification as a Quality Inspector is highly desirable.
10+ years of experience in quality control and inspection within the Oil & Gas sector, specifically during the fabrication phase of EPC projects.
Extensive experience with inspection techniques and tools, including electrical testing and verification methods.
Fluent level of written and spoken English.

Job Location: Sharjah yard, Hamriyah Free Zone, UAE;
Contract Duration: 1 year;
Starting date: August 2024.
