The safety officer is responsible for monitoring the contractor's work practices and procedures both on the construction site as well as the site offices, stores, labor camps, etc., and also the surrounding public areas which may be affected by the project.Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Responsible for moderately complex technical work in a wide range of HSE disciplines to achieve compliance with CH2M HILL's HS&E standards and regulatory requirements, and works under the direction of the Safety Engineer.Conducts reviews of potential risks on the project and identifies potential mitigation measures.Responsible for inspection of the construction areas, and ensures compliance with the project safety requirements as laid down by the approved contractor and CH2M HILL safety plans.Ensures all CH2M HILL safety policies are implemented on site and adhered to by all parties involved.
