Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

A reputable engineering consulting firm is currently in search of a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg. Candidates must be experienced in the building sector with experience in the development of Data Centres.

Requirements:

BSc: Mechanical Engineering

Professionally registered with ECSA (Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech Eng)

10 years' experience within building construction/ property sector

Extensive experience in developments of Data Centres

Experienced in working on projects from inception to completion/ close out

Extensive experience and knowledge in the management of the JBCC and NEC forms of contracts

Preparation of cost estimates and budgets

Preparation of BOQ's, tender and contract documentation

Management and leadership of junior staff

Great skills in: Technical report writing, marketing (clients), communication, critical thinking and decision making, time management

Quality and cost management

Established client base as well as develop and maintain new client relationships

Stable employment record with contactable references

Proficient in MS Office, MS Projects, AutoCAD and Revit
