PRODUCTION PLANNER EXECUTIVE

Description JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of the company’s products
2. Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production
3. Scheduling shifts and workers to provide proper coverage
4. Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget
5. Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management
6. Handling production disruptions and productivity problems
7. Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs
8. Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes
9. Work with management in coordinating and planning production activities to improve runtime
10. Develop and review production plan with Managers for approval
11. Monitor the execution of production plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion
12. Escalate complex issues to Manager for resolution
13. Communicate production status to Managers and Customers on a regular basis
14. Analyze back orders, current orders, and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations
15. Plan equipment, material, and manpower requirements to execute job orders
16. Coordinate with Managers in planning and implementing engineering changes in production lines
17. Plan inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses
18. Monitor production progress and ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications
19. Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives
20. Analyze delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines
21. Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequences

1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or related field is PREFERRED
2. Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous
3. Proven EXPERIENCE working as a production planner
4. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
5. Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Excellent organizational and time management skills
8. Effective communication skills
9. Knowledge of production processes and quality control
10. Math and analytical skills
11. Technical skills using material requirements planning and scheduling software
