Senior Software Engineer with Token.io

As a Senior Java Platform Engineer, you will specialise in designing and building the platform. Our ideal candidate is eager to constantly modernise our architecture into the latest and greatest while keeping an eye on the stability of our existing platform.Platform Engineers take on designing an integrated API that fits all our integrated features. As a member of the Platform Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling the platform whilst having the opportunity to learn all you need to know about A2A payments.Our engineers are inclusive and enthusiastic to cooperate with different teams with versatile cultures and across multiple time zones. We are looking for 3 additional senior engineers with an aptitude for leadership and who are self-motivated to take on the challenging task of keeping up with the ever-growing world of open payments.What you'll do day to dayWork closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to identify platform requirementsContribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of our core platformYou will be the lead in the design of high-volume, low latency, distributed transaction processing systemsTake part in discovery and delivery phases of featuresProvide technical mentorship and participate in design review sessionsCreate test automation tools for development, staging, and productionWrite unit and system testsPerform code reviewsAddress customer reported issuesSkills and experience we are looking forRequired:BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical fieldAt least 5-7 years of experience in software development experienceAt least 5 years of experience in Java development experienceExperience with SQL preferably MySql or MariaDBStrong in RESTFUL API experienceExperience in microservices architecture and developmentAptitude to mentor other engineersStrong communication and organizational skillsNice to have:Experience with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Dagger, and jOOQExperience with Java service optimizations and testingWorking knowledge of PSD2 and A2A paymentsPrevious experience working in a fintech companyExperience in working and co-operating with other team members in different time zonesTechnology that we useJava 11 and Java 21RPC, Protocol Buffers, Dagger, jOOQ, GuavaMySQL, MariaDBJest, Jasmine, and Cucumber.js for testingHTML5, CSS3, Material UIReactJS, MobX, expressJS, NextJs, TypeScriptNode.js and WebpackMobXKubernetes, AWS, Terraform€85,000 - €90,000 a yearBasic salary plus stock options (at one years service)30 days paid vacation plus local holidaysCompany pension schemeHybrid/flexible workingOpen to allToken.io is building an open future for everyone.
