Job summary
MISSION:
Experienced SP3D Electrical Designer with a strong background in the Oil & Gas sector, specifically in offshore fixed facilities and EPC projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Saudi Aramco or Qatargas standards and will be proficient in using design tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, E3D, SP3D, and Navis. This role requires technical expertise in electrical design, 3D modeling, and the ability to manage projects independently.
TASKS:
Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and schematics, Material Take-Offs (MTOs), electrical layouts, installation details, and panel schedules.
Develop detailed interconnection drawings for electrical systems.
Design and develop 3D models of electrical equipment, cable trays, lighting systems, and other related components.
Populate libraries and attributes in the 3D model as per client requirements.
Prepare weight control reports for electrical parts, including bulk materials.
Maintain and update the 3D model with accurate and current data.
Participate in 3D model reviews with clients and provide technical input.
Manage and coordinate the electrical design aspects of the project independently.
Perform lighting calculations and other electrical calculations as required.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
Conduct quality checks and reviews of design deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Adhere to company and client standards and procedures for design and documentation
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
15+ years of experience in electrical design within the Oil & Gas sector, specifically in offshore fixed facilities with an EPC background.
Proven experience with Qatargas standards with a specific focus on LNG projects.
Strong proficiency in SP3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, E3D, and Navis.
Experience in preparing SLDs, schematics, MTOs, electrical layouts, installation details, and panel schedules.
Strong experience in developing 3D models of electrical equipment, cable trays, and lighting systems.
Fluent level of English, written and spoken.
