Junior Digital Graphic Designer - Johannesburg (subject reference #DGD2024)

We’re looking for a junior digital graphic designer ready to start as soon as possible for a three-month contract with the potential for permanent employment. You will be part of a team of creative minds that will assist in delivering impactful online content, ranging from informational videos to GIFs for social media to website banners and interactive mailers. Key details: Contract type: Three-month with potential for permanent employment. Location: Work-from-home opportunity. Non-negotiables: A minimum of one years’ industry experience in an advertising agency. Relevant degree or diploma. Competence in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, or similar (experience in Figma a bonus!)Excellent ability in creating GIFs and short videos for social media is a must-have!Interest and experience in UX/UI design. Understanding of HTML5/responsive design. A keen interest and knowledge of digital marketing, especially social media. Key responsibilities: You will be required to Create new concepts, GIFs, and short videos for social media that communicate complex ideas and concepts in a simple and clear manner. Create UX/UI for new website projects. Frequently review brand assets across the board to ensure the highest quality and alignment with brand CI. Understanding of visual elements and basic design skills (layout, type, and fonts). Advantageous skills: Experience using FIGMA. Personal attributes: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Self-motivated. Masterful time management, productivity and organisational skills. Creativity and problem-solving aptitude. You must have contactable references and a portfolio.
