Data Technical Lead
تفاصيل الوظيفة
At WhānauĀwhinaPlunket, people are at the heart of what we do. Our frontline kaimahi impact the lives of whānau from across Aotearoa on a day-to-day basis, providing reassurance and clinical advice in homes, clinics, and community settings. Our Data and Insights team are fortunate to support this mahi by partnering with the organisation to make use of our datasets and achieve our strategic goal of equitable service delivery. We’re now seeking a Data Technical Lead to join the team in this new permanent full-time role. While we have a preference for a Wellington or Christchurch based candidate, if you are outside these locations and feel connected to the role, we welcome an application from you. Reporting to the Head of Data and Insights, this is an exciting opportunity to shape our vision and impact the future of the way we work. The Data Technical Lead will champion business-to-data process design with a strong focus on data engineering. This includes the review, analysis, and optimisation of data outputs, guiding the team on technical development of the data outputs. The role involves managing the cloud platform administration and maintenance and improvement of reporting processes, alongside mentoring the team to grow their technical skillset. You’ll partner with internal stakeholders to understand what they’re trying to solve and develop fit-for-purpose solutions. As we expand our data capabilities and embed the Digital, Data and Technology Strategy, this role will also ensure our migration from on-premise to cloud-based runs smoothly. We’re seeking someone with a strong mix of technical data skills alongside a willingness to understand our organisational processes and strong communication, relationship, and listening skills to be able to find out what exactly our stakeholders need. You will also be/have:
- At least five years' experience in an enterprise data environment.
- Experience of SQL data warehouse technologies (such as SSRS, SSIS, with an added advantage of exposure to DataBricks and Snowflake).
- Experience working with SSIS, Python, Git, and PowerBI.
- An understanding of reporting tools (ideally a good working knowledge of Power BI).
- Knowledge of data warehouse modelling techniques (dimensional/Kimball modelling, data vault star schema).
- Experience in the development of Data Warehouses, Data Products, Reports, Dashboards, and data self-service capabilities.
- Work from home and the office.
- Various wellbeing schemes such as a Wellbeing day: use one of your sick leave days to proactively protect your well-being.
- An enhanced parental leave scheme to support growing whānau.
- Retail discounts.
