Test Engineer

Job Title: Test Engineer (Contract) Location: Remote Job Type: Contract (1 Year) Additional Information:

• This is a remote contract role approved for one year.

• Salary range: 18 lakhs to 20 lakhs per annum. - this will be paid on a hourly basis as a contractor for a 40 hour work week!

• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using Java-based automation test frameworks.
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities are not affected by new changes.
• Conduct UI-based testing to verify the user interface meets design specifications and provides a seamless user experience.
• Implement and maintain BDD (Behavior Driven Development) frameworks to enhance collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Write and execute comprehensive end-to-end manual test cases to validate software functionality.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and quality.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• 7 plus years of testing experience
• Proven experience in automation testing, including the development and execution of automated test scripts.
• Strong knowledge of Java and experience with Java-based automation test frameworks.
• Familiarity with regression testing and UI-based testing methodologies.
• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or JBehave.
• Ability to write detailed and effective end-to-end manual test cases.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
