Posted on January 13, 2024 Location: United Arab Emirates QualificationCertificate in Bachelor of Science in NursingRegistered NurseCertificate in Caregiver / Nursing Aide / Nursing AssistantAge: 23 - 38 years oldWith Elderly or Child Care experienceHandled patient with attachment (Peg Tube, Catheter Care, Colostomy, NGT & Tracheostomy)Job DescriptionAdheres to all grooming and feeding procedures of the patient.Follows care protocols on the attachment of the patient: Peg Tube, Catheter Care, Colostomy, NGT.Administers enteral nutrition using PEG, NG feeding tube and medication.Administers oral medication.Monitors the quantity of patients' medication.Assists patients with daily activities.Lifts, transfers, and ambulate patients.Maintains a hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with health care procedures.Identifies patients based on their forms of identification before starting any procedure.Fills out necessary forms & consents before initiation of procedures.Comprehensively explains to the patient and the family the procedures to be done.Applies infection control techniques (e.g. hand hygiene, using PPE, medical waste management, etc.).Communicates with patients.Knows the patient's medical and social history and is regularly updated on the daily condition of the patient.Ensures patients' privacy & confidentiality during assessment.Informs the patient of his/her rights & responsibilities.Informs the family of their rights & responsibilities.Regularly fills and checks PAMS of the patient.Fills up all requisite forms in a timely manner.Maintains inventory control systems.Reports equipment issues to management.Performs maintenance and quality checks of glucometer (shutdown, restart, cleaning) as applicable.Maintains equipment and its logs on the patient.
