The Junior Production Engineer is responsible for sustained safe shift operations (zero LTI), productive utilization of resources (People and Machinery), while adhering to and monitoring the production plan.Core Responsibilities

Process

Post shift production & dispatches in SAP system.

Fulfill manpower requirements for smooth working of the shift.

Achieve shift-wise production targets regarding both quality and quantity.

Write shift-wise production reports & mark attendance of the workers.

Ensure that product losses are being controlled.

Review lab results of product and instruct operators accordingly.

Follow instructions from the Divisional Head given verbally or in writing.

Ensure operators provide accurate information on the log sheets.

Write shift performance reports in the logbook.

Ensure that manufacturing materials and supplies are sufficiently drawn from stores in time.Quality

Coordinate with Shift Chemist to identify in-process non-conformances.

Ensure that different grades of the product are kept separately.

Ensure that weighing scales are in perfect working order.Maintenance

Check the performance of process equipment.

Ensure proper maintenance of the process equipment.

Ensure housekeeping of the entire section.

Liaise with the Shift Engineer of other divisions for shutdown and fully/partially operating the plant during load shedding.Process Improvement

Deliverables related to continuous improvement and innovation.

Continuous efforts on improving ways of working.

Logical and analytical approach towards problem-solving.

Study processes and bring improvement through technological advancement.

SAP - Serve as an expert SAP user. Apply skills to maintain and improve the current system, provide training to users, create master plans, etc.Safety

Ensure safety of product, process equipment, and workers during the shift.

Ensure use of PPEs at all locations.

Ensure all technical works are performed with due work permits.

Deliver training on EHS and production processes.Mandatory Requirements

Qualified candidates will have:

B.Sc/B.E Engineering (Chemical) with 2 to 4 years of experience.

Good manufacturing literacy.

Knowledge about instrumentation and DCS/SLC operation.

Knowledge of GMP/HACCP procedures.

Knowledge of Safety and Environment.

Plant troubleshooting and controlling experience is preferred.Required Behaviors And Skills

Positive outlook with a can-do attitude.
