Due to the team expanding new opportunities are now available, we are currently seeking a talented and experienced Transportation Project Manager (Lead) to join our growing Transportation Team. About the role: As the Transportation Project Manager (Lead), you will lead, manage, and support the delivery of projects within the Transportation Team. A great opportunity to play a lead role in a range of recovery and BAU projects. The key areas of responsibility include:
- Manage projects and contracts to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to the required standard
- Lead, direct and support project teams – Staff, consultants and contractors
- Establishing effective relationships and partnerships between Council, Consultants, Contractors and the Community
- Manage project budgets
- Communicate issues of importance to managers
- Customer enquires
- Build strong working relationships with consultants, contractors, community groups etc
- Manage and implement consultation with stakeholders, internal and external
- Relevant bachelor level degree in Engineering/Project Management or Diploma in Civil Engineering and Project Management or similar
- Relevant Civil Engineering experience
- Ability to liaise and consult with the public, retailers, consultants, contractors, utility service providers, local authorities, developers and professional service providers.
- Understanding of all aspects of Project Management and programming of Civil Engineering projects.
- Ability to analyse situations and issues to make clear decisions
- Strong leadership skills – Lead Project and Programme Management Skills
