Due to the team expanding new opportunities are now available, we are currently seeking a talented and experienced Transportation Project Manager (Lead) to join our growing Transportation Team. About the role: As the Transportation Project Manager (Lead), you will lead, manage, and support the delivery of projects within the Transportation Team. A great opportunity to play a lead role in a range of recovery and BAU projects. The key areas of responsibility include:

• Manage projects and contracts to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to the required standard
• Lead, direct and support project teams – Staff, consultants and contractors
• Establishing effective relationships and partnerships between Council, Consultants, Contractors and the Community
• Manage project budgets
• Communicate issues of importance to managers
• Customer enquires
• Build strong working relationships with consultants, contractors, community groups etc
• Manage and implement consultation with stakeholders, internal and external

About you : We are looking for a leader who can communicate well with stakeholders and the public. Who has strong leadership skills, displays a professional approach and has a passion for transportation. Someone who enjoys being part of a fun and dynamic team and that would like to join an organisation that can offer a flexible working environment. The successful candidates will have:

• Relevant bachelor level degree in Engineering/Project Management or Diploma in Civil Engineering and Project Management or similar
• Relevant Civil Engineering experience
• Ability to liaise and consult with the public, retailers, consultants, contractors, utility service providers, local authorities, developers and professional service providers.
• Understanding of all aspects of Project Management and programming of Civil Engineering projects.
• Ability to analyse situations and issues to make clear decisions
• Strong leadership skills – Lead Project and Programme Management Skills
