Transport Major Projects Manager

Our client is seeking a Transport Major Projects Manager for road, rail, public transport and active travel schemes throughout Ireland. The candidate must be a Chartered Engineer and should have extensive experience in planning and design of major transport projects, ideally including giving evidence at Oral Hearing for EIAR and CPO. The candidate will join our clients growing highways and transportation business and will be based in one of their multiple Irish offices, with flexible hybrid working available. The candidate must be self motivated, enthusiastic, hard working, flexible, willing to take on responsibility, comfortable leading a team and with excellent client management skills. The role will involve team building and leadership, mentoring staff, managing planning and design of transport projects throughout Ireland, delivering EIAR and CPO, preparing and administering construction contracts for public and private clients. Desirable Skills / Attributes:

• Extensive relevant experience in a consultancy environment.
• Educated to degree level (Level 8/9).
• Chartered Engineer.
• Computer literate and able to work efficiently with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledgeable of relevant design standards and with the ability to transfer this knowledge into practical, buildable and value for money designs.
• Experience of design and build projects.
• Experience in planning and design of transport schemes in Ireland, including feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design, statutory processes, procurement processes, contract administration and construction supervision.
• Full Irish / EU driving licence.
