Vice Chancellor, Graduate Medical Education/Enterprise-Wide Designated Institutional Official (DIO)Rutgers Health (RH) seeks a Vice Chancellor for Graduate Medical Education & Enterprise-Wide Designated Institutional Official (DIO) who will play an integral role in the strategic planning for the continued success of all GME programs across RH. The position requires a dynamic, passionate, and capable leader with a proven track record of collaborative GME leadership, administrative experience, program development, and educational excellence.Reports to: Senior Vice Chancellor for Clinical AffairsDirect reports: GME Offices across the systemOther key relationships: RBHS Chancellor, Deans of Rutgers Health schools, Medical Group Senior Leadership, Health System and Partner Leadership, Department Chairs, TraineesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Leads the strategic discussions and implements the development of education programs across RH and RWJBH- Monitors accreditation activities and chairs the GME Committee (GMEC)- Works with GME leaders to supervise and administer ACGME and CODA-accredited programs- Serves as a member of the faculty and co-chair of the GME Service Line Steering Committee- Assists in leading the restructuring of core GME programs for academic excellence- Supports nominations of program directors and communicates with accrediting bodies- Engages in professional development and strategic initiativesMinimum Education and Experience: National reputation for educational accomplishments, experience in GME leadership rolesCertifications/Licenses: Medical degree and board certification, licensed or eligible for medical licensing in New JerseyRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Focuses on preserving the vision of GME, fosters a unified culture, and demonstrates critical leadership capabilities such as collaborating, leading change, and acting strategically.
