In recognition of its high quality and patient safety, the AKUH is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) as an Academic Medical Centre and its Clinical Laboratories are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) for fast and accurate testing.The Department of Radiology offers a comprehensive range of highly sophisticated imaging tests and procedures that are conducted in a welcoming environment that focuses on quality and patient comfort. The diagnostic services are supported by advanced, state-of-the-art technologies like 3T MRI, 640 slice CT, Mammography, Bone density, Nuclear Imaging, Interventional services, general x-rays, etc. The department is dedicated to patient services and imaging excellence through highest professional and technological standards. The department maintains state-of-the-art technology imaging services to provide our physicians and patients with the most accurate, timely and informative results.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for:support computer hardware resources, communications, networking, Windows OS and PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) activitiesproactively manage and track IT related assets. Monitoring and resolving IT related issues in coordination with the IT division, Bio-medical department, and other services within Radiology Departmentcoordinate with end users to determine workflow requirements and translating the requirements into optimal radiology IT solutionsmanage new hardware installation, disposal of retired assets and coordination with IT for asset managementprovide IT support services, on need basis, to other Radiology sites within the AKU environmentescalate PACS/VRS and RIS functional administrative tasks to supervisormonitors Performance Indicators and related weekly, monthly, and quarterly team reports.Requirements Requirements You should have/be: bachelors degree from a recognized institution (A One-year diploma in I.T. or a Bachelors in Computer Science/Engineering will be an added advantage) m inimum 4-5 years' experience in technical I.T. field with proven results. Minimum 2 years of experience of working in healthcare I.T., preferably in a tertiary care hospital g ood hands-on experience of Windows OS, computing hardware diagnoses and troubleshooting, printer management. excellent knowledge of MS Windows and its associated services, and relevant troubleshooting skills ability to troubleshoot communication and networking issues k nowledge of PACS, VRS and Radiology workflows will be an added advantage. a bility to effectively communicate orally and in writing excellent communication and interpersonal skills a bility to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-disciplinary work environment and be on stand-by for any/all escalations m ulti-tasking ability and good judgment with the ability to work under pressure g ood analytical skills for understanding radiology end-user requirements.
