That's why all our employees enjoy access to dynamic career opportunities across different fields and industries.Are you ready to help us make the future?We have an opportunity for a Proposal and Estimation Engineer to position within our Honeywell Building Technologies - Airports team based in Dubai, UAE.Proposal and Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparation of Proposals and estimation for Airfield Ground Lighting Systems, and special airport systems for the airside and control tower systems as per Airport business bidding guidelines and procedures. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. Overall planning & delivery responsibility with quality, high accuracy and on time proposal submission are essential.The responsibilities will include but not limited to:Estimation Engineer I - ResponsibilitiesSupport for preparing end to end solution development and estimationAnalyze the customer requirements, identify viable solutions options, select the right solution which is fully compliant and will provide a competitive edge Technically and commercially.Prepare competent estimation and proposals for Airside and Tower systems.Develop skills and knowledge on Airside Systems and International Aviation Standards and Regulation,Raise and list questions to the Estimation/Bid manager that require further clarificationsRead the technical specifications and choose the appropriate components for various Airfield Systems,Prepare System Architecture diagrams, component descriptions, solution description documentsPrepare Bill of quantitiesPerform Load calculations and identify CCR ratings and quantitiesSend enquiries and coordinate with vendors/Supply chain for proposals.Prepare Signs designPrepare basic layouts for estimation purposes and support Engineering draughtsman to prepare drawingsPerform Price and Technical comparison/evaluation using market knowledge, Historic information for accurate estimates and proper choosing of solutions.Carefully analyze and prepare Technical Compliance matrix.Prepare and compile the overall estimate.Responsible for the accuracy and quality of the estimates and solutions.Review and ensure the Estimates & Proposals are Technically & Commercially fully compliant with the requirements. Ensure timely delivery of the solution & estimates within the deadlines.Prepare responses for Customer/Engineer clarifications and support the sales team in pre-sales support activities.Support in the preparation of Technical documents and Pre-Qualification Documentation SubmittalsSupport, coordinate with team members constructively to achieve organizational goals.Qualification and ExperienceGraduate/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic / Computer Science Engineering0-2 years' experience in solution development or estimation and proposal developmentComfortable working in a high-pressure environment and to tight deadlinesAffluent in English language (both Speaking and Writing)Basic AutoCAD knowledge will be an assetGood Working Knowledge on Windows, Microsoft Office (Specially in Excel), VisioSelf-motivated, flexible and results orientedGood presentation skills.About UsThe world is changing.
