**Department**

Oil operations (Dukhan)

**Primary purpose of job**

Maintain, install, monitor and carry out troubleshooting on all assigned electrical equipment and ascertain availability and

sufficiency of all equipment including tools and spare parts to guarantee reliability, operability and equipment functioning

within safety and maintenance standards.

1. Perform corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance on all assigned electrical equipment in timely, safely and cost

effective manner with the aim of enhancing equipment performance, ensuring reliability and availability of equipment.

2. Overhaul, fit, and assemble component parts as per Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendation using

hand and power tools to ensure equipment are operating effectively and efficiently.

3. Perform configuration and testing on all assigned electrical equipment with the aim of ensuring equipment integrity.

4. Assist on functional tests and verify data sheets for new Project/PCRs with the aim of operating the plant safely and on

time.

5. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause

of a breakdown and correct the problem.

6. Inspects electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs

and recommending preventive maintenance.

7. Execute electrical system and equipment isolation and de-isolation up to and including 415 Volts to ensure the facility is

safe for personnel carrying out approved activities.

8. Perform shop maintenance, which includes repairs, maintenance and calibration of electrical equipment to keep

equipment operating at their peak efficiency

9. Input the maintenance activities findings in SAP to maintain the equipment data base and utilize the equipment history for

further technical analysis and enhancing equipment performance.

**Experience & Skills**

A minimum of Eight (8) years of relevant experience in oil and gas/petrochemical industry.

Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing

devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, primary and secondary injection to ensure compatibility and

safety of system.

Capable of understanding electrical single, schematic and logic diagrams.

Full working and maintenance knowledge of electrical equipment in hazardous area zone 0, 1 & 2

Good knowledge in power electronics and PLC especially that are related to variable speed drives, un-interrupted power

supply units, chargers and thyristor controlled electric heaters.

Should have a good knowledge of safety practices relating to the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry.

Preferred to have good knowledge/experience in SAP system

Good knowledge of English, in both written and spoken.

Fair Knowledge in computer ski
