JobDescription:HSE Professional roleprovides safety program guidance and oversight to Vestas operationsat a specific location or geographical region. Coordinate withregional operations management to influence safetyperformance.Responsibilities:•Coordinates and implements the QSE site specific plans for start-upand existing Service locations in conjunction with line management.Monitors progress on completion of the site specificplan.• Supports site management andprovides professional coaching and review of incidentinvestigations and corrective actions through 5 Why and TapRootincident investigation methods.•Oversees the management of work-related injuries at regional Vestaslocations• Represents QSE withService Operations at customermeetings• Interacts externally withauthorities as necessary• Responsiblefor environmental support to regional Vestaslocations.• Influence the adoption ofQSE programs to reduce injuries across the Vestas locations, with ahigh focus on soft tissue injuryprevention.• Build organizationcapability by providing QSE training and development of QSEcoordinators to ensure each site within the sub-region has theappropriate technical and functionalcompetencies.• Participate in thestart-up/transition activities of new or expanding Vestaslocations.• Coordinate theinvestigation process of incidents and accidents to determine rootcauses and prepares/directs corrective and preventive actionplans.• Support line management withthe Incident Management System (IMS) to ensure timely investigationand closure of all applicableincidents• Maintains currentknowledge of QSE industry best practices and technologicaldevelopments and equipment to remain up-to-date on related systems,devices and techniques designed to eliminate or minimize associatedrisks. Keeps current on regulatory requirements pertaining to QSEfor assigned region.• Position canpotentially be based anywhere in the assigned geographicalregion• High travel position - up to60%Requirements:•Bachelors' degree in Environmental Management, IndustrialHealth & Safety or related equivalent isdesirable• Minimum 3 years'work experience in general industry, industrial and constructionenvironmental, or health &safety.• Experience in culturalchange and behavior-based safety programs, as well as QSE programsand policies across multiple jurisdictionspreferred• Direct experience withwind industry operations highlydesirable• Ability to interact withsenior leadership, other departments, and with vendors andcustomers• Experience in applyinginternational EHS standards (ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001)across business units andgeographies.• Experience with TapRootor other root cause analysisprocess.• Experience with ergonomics,behavioral safety and a safety culture program isdesired.• Understanding ofmechanical, electric and hydraulicsystems• Experience with cranes,lifting and rigging, safety management systems, control ofhazardous energy, confined space requirements, work at heights andsoft tissue injury preventionpreferred• Should be authorized towork in the U.S. and Canada without companysponsorship• Computer skillsnecessary include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint andbasic skills in SAP• Should beproficient working remotely with little to nosupervision• Ability to audit,monitor global and local standards, have basic knowledge ofmanufacturing and systemfunctionCompetencies:•Able to effectively influence a cross-functionalteam INT
