US Accounting Manager

Responsibilities, but not limited to:Review of the following:Cash basis monthly client financial reportsProcessing of medical claims and necessary follow upTour accountings and central withholding agreementsWhile providing excellent client service, manage multiple client engagementsPlanning staff's work and supervising staff's workSustaining client relationships as a close associate to the partner(s)Be responsible for understanding the Client's organization and structure, knowing the product/services and keeping abreast of Client news and changesSupervises the maintenance of the client's accounting records, general ledger ("tax return ready" books) including proper entries of investment activityDevelop system tailored to each client to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining financial reporting policies and proceduresProvides daily service to clients, their assistants/family/attorneys/agentsPoint person on asset acquisitions and dispositions, client loans, cooperative applications, etc.Tracks residual, profit participant and fee income paymentsAdvise on the client's insurance plan (includes homeowners, personal liability, auto, etc.; business, if applicable, lifelong term care, disability)Prepare bonus payrolls to officers from loan out entitiesPreparation of more complex investment analysis reports and understand the underlying asset classesDevelop working knowledge of retirement plans, gift and estate planning conceptsSupervise the overall effectiveness of the medical and retirement plan(s) for clientsBe involved in practice development, networking, etc.Act as a mentor to the staffBegin to get involved with client billing, collections, profitability (realization)Desired Skills:Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal skillsOutstanding analytical, organizational and project management skillsAbility to multi-task and shift focus as neededExpert knowledge of Data Faction, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and WordStrong attention to detail PRB
