Duties & ResponsibilitiesSENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEERCape Town Product Development. Details designs from first principles as well as improvement on existing Product rangesQualification and Key Skills Required:B Eng. / BSc in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum of 7 years of design experienceAbility to plan and execute project plansAbility to guide and mentor other engineersInnovative and self-drivenHands-on approach to problem solvingReadily able to adjust to changing prioritiesObjective orientated, setting goals and meeting deadlines Responsibilities3D CAD models designs and presentation to clients.Preparation of manufacturing and supplier part drawingsConduct concept and design reviewsManage and support the day-to-day design activitiesProvide creative and technically feasible solutions for cost savings, service issues, and product improvements.Interface with materials and purchasing on new part design and sourcing.Interface with Analysis, Test, and Manufacturing Engineering to determine the most effective and economical use of materials and manufacturing processes.Interface with the Product Regulation and Compliance staff to design products that meet government regulations, restrictions and codes.Please send your CV to info@curiska.co.za if you are interested
