Commodity SpecialistORGANIZATIONAL STRUCUTREBUSINESS: CIRCOR A&DLOCATION: Coimbatore, IndiaDIRECT REPORTING: Director of A&D Global Supply ChainFUNCTIONAL REPORTING: TBD POSITION DETAILS Position SummaryThis role will be critical in supporting the execution and management of direct sourcing strategies for the Circor Global Aerospace and Defense Business. This position, under the direction of the Sr. Commodity Specialist, will be supporting the Supply Chain function of six global locations through the sourcing of direct materials such as machined components, raw materials, castings, forgings & sub-assemblies across multiple global regions.Principal ActivitiesSupport the Sr. Commodity Specialist and Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer to achieve team deliverables which include:Rapid deployment of sourcing initiatives in growing business units. Drive product/part localization.Competitively bid, negotiate agreements, prices & price inflation mitigation.Participate in selection and deselection of suppliersSupport the supplier approval process.Management of agreed supplier relationships in designated direct categories. Management of sourcing projects, contracts, and programs with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Drive internal and external Requests for Quotations Active and continuous communication of sourcing projects, programs, and sourcing policiesDrive focus and execution of key supply base metrics: annual cost savings, supplier OTD (project and production), supply base rationalization, reduce supplier lead time for development, and contract penetration.Understand, monitor, and report current commodity market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/ capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges and manage risk in the supply chain pro-actively.Support activities of the team for successful delivery of First Article parts.
