The successful applicant will be joining a team responsible for the management of over 5000 Windows Servers region-wide in an enterprise environment.The role is split between supporting existing infrastructure and the design / implementation of new infrastructure as driven by both business / IT need and your own identified improvement recommendations.Nagios is the most powerful and trusted network monitoring software on the market. Foundever is looking for an experienced candidate with a solid grounding in Nagios, BigFix, Windows Server, VMware and Linux infrastructure who can support our existing estate and design new whilst constantly looking forward to emerging technologies and how they could fit into our business.Responsibilities:Primarily ensuring the uptime of the environment and responding to incidents / escalations from both business and peers inside agreed service levelsPerform installation, implementation, customization, operation, recovery and performance tuning.Ability to lead in transitioning the projects on Nagios monitoring tool.Experience in implementing Nagios core and NagiosXI in different projects along with integration between Nagios and Service Desk tool.Proficient in the installation and configuration of the NagiosXI monitoring tool.Enable monitoring for Nagios infrastructure and integrating alerts with ticketing systems to maintain minimal service outages.Working knowledge of migration from NagiosCore to NagiosXI checks along with upgradation of NagiosXI version to the latest version.Designs and develops integrated solutions through tools, processes and procedures to facilitate the cost effective delivery of services or fielding of products. Performs testing and integration, maintenance and escalated problem resolution of systems, subsystems and components.Proactively identify and implement opportunities for improving efficiency and resilience of the estate.Proactively responding to emerging threats and mitigating vulnerabilities as they are identified.Responsible for the design, implementation and documentation of new systems in a while respecting compliance requirements such as PCI-DSSMaintain SLA and keep focus on detecting alerts well in advance to eliminate any production outagesQualification & Experience target:At least 6 years working in an enterprise IT environment in a system engineering roleBachelor's degree in computer science or any similar qualification.Abilities:The ability to design and implement systems solutions with a focus on compatibility, scalability, security, and automationAble to keep current on industry standards and advancements - Ability to learn and develop skills in new technology as neededAssist with current and new business developmentDatacentre design and managementUnderstanding of and willingness to adhere to enterprise IT frameworks and procedures, namely ITILStrong troubleshooting skills under pressureAnalytical and creative problem-solving skills for design, creation and testing of systemsCommunication skills to communicate system proposals to management and customers and provide systems diagnoses and resolution for current systemsInterpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior level personnel, and team membersOrganization skills to balance and prioritize workLeadership skills to assist less experienced personnelAbility to integrate moderately complex hardware and software systemsSkills:Active DirectoryNagiosWindows ServerVirtualisation - HyperV, SCVMM, and VMwarePowerShell (Preferably including DSC)Certificate management & PKIGit / GitLab / GitLab CIUCS / Dell / Nutanix / Storage and SANsLinux - CentOS, DebianNetBackupPython ScriptingExperience in the following is also preferential:AnsibleContainer OrchestrationAWSHashicorp Consul & Vault PRB
