Sourcing Executive (Textile and Fabrication)

As a Sourcing Executive specializing in Textile and Fabrication, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the sourcing of raw materials, and components required for the production of products. You will work closely with suppliers to ensure the timely procurement of high-quality materials while optimizing costs and maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.Responsibilities:Identify and qualify suppliers of raw materials, fabrics and other components required for textile production.Evaluate suppliers based on their capabilities, quality standards, production capacity, and adherence to ethical and sustainable practices.Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms while ensuring quality and reliability.Manage contract agreements, including terms of delivery, payment terms, and quality specifications.Collaborate with the product development team to source innovative materials and fabrics that meet design and performance requirements.Work closely with suppliers to develop samples, prototypes, and production-ready materials as per design specifications.Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including production, design, and quality assurance teams, to ensure seamless integration of the supply chain.Monitor production schedules and inventory levels to anticipate and address any potential supply chain disruptions.\Establish and maintain quality standards for materials and fabrics, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.Conduct regular quality inspections and audits of suppliers to ensure consistency and adherence to specifications.Analyze market trends and pricing fluctuations to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and regulatory compliance.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within the textile or apparel industry.In-depth knowledge of textile materials, fabrication processes, and industry standards.Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Proficiency in sourcing and procurement software/tools.
