We are partners with CISO organization on vision, strategy and execution that continues to improve our security posture and reduce agreed risk.Please join us and make this journey together!What You'll DoWe are looking for a dedicated PlainID Engineer to join our team in developing and refining access control policies within our PBAC (Policy-Based Access Control) system. The ideal candidate will specialize in crafting, deploying, and optimizing policies within the PlainID platform to ensure secure, efficient, and scalable access management across our enterprise systems.Key Responsibilities would include:Design, implement, and manage sophisticated access control policies within PlainID to meet our dynamic business requirements.Work closely with IT, security teams, and business collaborators to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective policy solutions.Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information accessed through policy enforcement.Perform ongoing maintenance, updates, and refinements to existing policies to adapt to changing security landscapes and business needs.Solve policy-related issues, providing timely and accurate resolution to ensure uninterrupted access control services.Document policy configurations and changes, maintaining clear and comprehensive records for audit and compliance purposes.Engage in knowledge sharing and standard methodologies within the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement in policy management.Provide technical expertise and guidance in the area of access control, including role-based access control (RBAC), attribute-based access control (ABAC), and PBAC.Serve as the domain expert for PlainID within the organization, offering training and support to IT staff and end-users.Who You'll Work WithThe Enterprise IT Security organization is passionate about technology not just to be innovative, but we transform innovation into value for Cisco. You will work with the Business and Technical Architecture Groups, Product Owners, Development Team leads, Multi-functional teams.Who You AreA hardworking and experienced professional who enjoys digging into complicated problems and exploring details of technical implementations. Someone with an ability to take the lead in developing business solutions and clearly communicate complex concepts. Our minimum requirements are as follows:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.6+ years of experience in cybersecurity domain with RBAC, ABAC, PBAC understanding.Demonstrated experience with PlainID or similar PBAC systems, with a solid understanding of policy languages such as XACML or REGO.Familiarity with IAM concepts and technologies, with a focus on policy-based access control mechanisms.Solid background in integrating IAM solutions with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM etc.Experience with directory services (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory) and federated identity protocols (e.g., SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth).Familiarity with programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, PowerShell).Ability to analyze complex systems and data to develop effective access control solutions.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.Superb communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and collaborators.Knowledge of security standards and compliance frameworks relevant to access management.Why Cisco#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference powering an expansive future for all.We adopt digital, and help our customers implement change in their digital businesses.
