They lead a team of sales, marketing, and operations leaders in the development and implementation of strategies, business plans and all aspects of commercial execution. Areas of focus include customer and market insight generation, segmentation, forecasting, pricing, launch excellence, capital and inventory deployment, and omnichannel marketing for the full portfolio of products. As a member of the Johnson & Johnson MedTech (JJMT) Leadership Team, they directly contribute to the development of broad JJMT strategies and the success of the overall company in Canada. Major Responsibilities: · Responsible for leading a sales and marketing organization to the successful achievement of yearly and ongoing company sales, profitability and cashflow objectives. · Develops and executes sales and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure a strong competitive focus and maximize business results now and in the future. · Accountable for continuing to elevate competency and leadership capabilities of sales and marketing leaders and teams through coaching, people development and creating a culture that drives the strategic agenda. · Responsible for engagement of employees, retention of high performers, diversity of the team; ensures robust leadership at present and for the future by building a strong pipeline of high caliber leaders and an inclusive culture. · Builds strong working partnerships and collaborates with internal cross-functional teams and MedTech Centres of Excellence. Connects and leverages multiple internal resources and stakeholders to develop integrated, tailored solutions for customers. · Personally, interfaces with customers to develop and leverage long term relationships and ensure strong customer insights. · Oversees the development of cohesive marketing strategies, building and managing C-Suite relationships with key customers, and partnering with the Strategic Customer Group organization on business unit contract strategies. · Directly contributes to the development of JJMT strategies and represents Canadian marketplace POV to shape global source company strategies. · Ensures applicable company compliance with all relevant country and regional requirements, company regulations, policies, and procedures. · Manages complex external joint venture partnerships as applicable. · As a member of JJMT Leadership Team; this position, along with the other Business Unit leader positions represents the voice of the clinical customer to the JJMT Leadership Team. Qualifications · A minimum of a University degree is required, preferably in Life Sciences or Business; MBA an asset. · Minimum 8-years relevant business and leadership experience with a significant track record of success in leadership roles in the healthcare industry, including multiple director level experiences across sales and marketing and experience across the lifecycle of brands. · Strong knowledge of the medical technology industry with a preferred focus on orthopaedics. · 5+ years' experience managing teams. · Demonstrated ability to lead and develop leaders and teams for high performance. · Proven skills as a talent champion: coaching, developing, and building a pipeline of future talent. · Excellent understanding of customer and industry trends. · Demonstrated business and financial acumen with understanding of the needs and priorities of the broader business and the use of data/analytics to gauge overall performance. · Operational experience in managing complex capital and inventory allocations. · Proven communication skills to effectively influence externally and across all levels of the organization. · Demonstrated ability to lead change and shape transformational business strategy. · Proven track record of driving growth and business results through a team. · Demonstration of leadership competencies including: a global/enterprise mindset, strength in hiring, employee development, team engagement, diversity, and innovative thinking. · Proven ability to forge internal collaboration across all levels of the enterprise in a matrix organization and master complexity. · Spoken/written bilingualism an asset (French). This position is based in Markham, ON (preferred) or remote location with frequent travel to Head Office, plus travel of approximately 30% of the time across Canada for customer and market engagements.
