Job Title: Finance Controller

Location: Doha, Qatar

Duration: Long Term

Job Description-

OVERVIEW:

Performance measures- Cash Flow management, Treasury efficiency and cost savings, Debt Management, Banking Relationships.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Lead the treasury function in the finance department. This includes corporate financial planning of the group on a daily period and /or project by project basis by

Handlings the cash flow efficiently and liquidity management.

Manage relationships with banking partners and negotiate favorable terms, fees, and services.

Oversee existing financing Ines for the group.

Ensuring the adequacy of financing lines for business requirements

Evaluate and recommend financing options and structures for projects as and when required by the business Overseeing debt covenants and compliance, and proactively manage capital structure.

Risk Management - Identify and manage financial risks r elated to the interest rates, foreign exchange and other financial risks and ensuring the company is able to meet its financial commitments.

Critically assess the project cashflows and budgets prepared by operational unit s enabling effective cash management decisions. Analyze variances between forecasted and actual cash knows and implement corrective actions as needed.

Oversight of each financial module Receivables and Collections, Payables, loan repayments, intercompany balances

Ensure collections across the group are in check Risks are escalated to the relevant business unit heads and followed up.

Ensure liabilities towards suppliers and other stakeholders are in check Group's capacities to settle its obligation are kept in check Risk are escalated to the relevant business unit heads and followed up and corrective measures are Identified and put in place.

Monitoring intercompany balances regularly and ensuring effective cash management between the group to companies

Qualification I Experience / Skills Minimum:

Master's in finance or equivalent.

Part Qualified Professional Certification (CA, CPA) or Qualified ACCA

Qualifications / Experience I Skills (Preferred):

Qualifications (CPA/CA or any other professional qualification) completed.

Experience required:

10+ years' experience in the Finance function, with at least 4 years as finance manager or an assistant finance manager of a contracting company in the middle east.

Proven track record of managing a treasury function with active bank facilities secured.

Ability to develop positive, cooperative relationships across all business units and ability to clearly communicate the financial requirements, financial position, and financial forecasting to the operational teams.

Forecasting cash flow by working with business unit heads and respective accounting teams.

Managing treasury and ensuring liquidity

Managing and handling financial institution related documentation.

Being well proficient with trends and competitive landscape in terms of operating margins, costs and business.

Must be able to align business units to implement efficient operating models based on cost of capital.

Must be well aware and up to date with IFRS reporting standards.

Must have GCC experience.

Must have experience handling treasury and engaging with banking and financial institutions.

Conglomerate experience is a plus.

Personality Attributes/ Traits:

Sound business acumen and a good understanding of the local finance manager or an assistant finance manager of a contracting business requirements, i.e. legal and financial compliance requirements in Qatar.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage effectively the facilities secured resources allocated to him or her.

Ability to develop positive, cooperative relationships across all business units and ability to clearly communicate the financial requirements, financial position and financial forecasting to the operational teams.
