Security Research Engineer

We are looking for a security research engineer intern who wants to take his skills to the next level and enjoy being part of a team of passionate security specialists and developers.You will have the opportunity to contribute to and improve a cloud-based penetration testing platform.This role requires a mix of programming and security skills that will give you a deeper understanding of the latest vulnerabilities and attack techniques. Your work will involve the development of automated exploits in Python, which will also refine your software development skills.RequirementsWe expect you to have these skills:Fluency in PythonGood understanding of common types of vulnerabilities (injection and logic flaws, remote code execution, local file inclusion, directory traversal, memory corruption, access control, etc)Basic understanding of installing and configuring test environments (virtual machines, dockers, etc)Good understanding of operating systems internals (memory management, pointers, processes, threads, etc)Good understanding of networking and TCP/IP protocol stackGood understanding of the HTTP protocol and client-server architectureIt's a plus if you also have:Participation in CTFs and Bug BountyFamiliarity with reverse engineering and binary analysisPrevious internships or past work experience including personal projectsBasic understanding of FlaskCompetitive salary and employee stock options opportunityYou will learn practical things about the real world of IT Security, vulnerabilities, exploits, bug bounties, and much moreYou'll leave your mark by helping us improve our leading penetration testing platformYou'll have plenty of flexibility whenever needed (including study days)We are currently working in a hybrid way, a mix of working from home and from our nice office located in the center of Bucharest (Crystal Tower)Self-development is highly encouraged, both in IT security and programmingAfter 3 months of internship, you have the chance to secure a full-time or part-time position and do your bachelor project with us.About usWe are a young and dynamic security company with a global presence.
