We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Bakery Chef to join our team.As a Bakery Chef at WOODS Specialty Cafe & Roastery, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our bakery operations. You will collaborate with our culinary team to develop and execute a menu of delicious and visually appealing baked goods. You will also be responsible for training and leading a team of bakers to ensure the consistent production of high-quality pastries and breads.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry arts, with a deep understanding of different baking techniques and ingredients. You should have excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage a busy bakery environment. Additionally, you should be creative, detail-oriented, and have a passion for creating exceptional baked goods.Role DescriptionCollaborate with the culinary team to develop and execute a menu of delicious and visually appealing baked goods.Oversee all aspects of bakery operations, including production, inventory management, and quality control.Create and refine recipes for a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, and other baked goods.Train and provide guidance to bakery staff on baking techniques and best practices.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.Monitor and evaluate the quality of baked goods, making adjustments as needed to maintain high standards.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations in baking techniques and ingredients.QualificationsProven experience as a Bakery Chef or similar role.Thorough knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.Strong leadership and organizational skills.Creative and detail-oriented mindset.Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.Culinary degree or relevant certification.Previous experience in a coffee shop or bakery is a plus.
