Horizon Networks is an Electricity Distribution Company operating throughout the Eastern Bay of Plenty region. Horizon Networks, based in Whakatane is recruiting for a self-motivated individual to fill the Asset Inspection Lead position on a full-time and permanent basis in our Whakatane branch. Reporting to the Asset and Delivery Manager, the Asset Inspection Lead will be responsible for:
  • Leading field inspection resources (e.g. people, manuals, scripts, and capture tools)
  • Managing the performance (efficiency and effectiveness)
  • Productivity of the field inspections and acting on the results of the inspections as required.
To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience:
  • Current NZ Electrical Practising Licence
  • Qualified Linesman or Electrician
  • Electrical Trade Certificate
  • Current Manual NZ Drivers Licence
  • 5 years in HV Distribution
  • Strong and visible safety leadership
  • Excellent knowledge of the Electricity (Hazards from Trees) Regulations 2003
  • Knowledge of electricity distribution equipment (low and high voltage)
  • Asset condition assessment experience
  • Asset location experience including cable locations and positive identification of circuits
  • Knowledge of all appropriate industry rules and regulations
  • Ability to manage and train others
