Service Head 3【Code: SH3】

Agency for Volunteer Service (AVS), founded in 1970, is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to playing a pivotal role in promoting volunteerism for building a caring and sustainable community. The Agency is looking for a suitable person for the position of Service Head. Key Responsibilities:

1. To assist the Chief Executive Officer and the Board on the formulation and execution of the strategic plans of the Agency
2. To lead the implementation of programmes and services in meeting the Agency’s mission and vision
3. To supervise and oversee the management and operation of service units and projects to ensure achievement of the set objectives and impacts 
4. To proactively establish community networks and identify development opportunities and resources

  Requirements:

1. A recognized university degree in a relevant discipline
2. A minimum of 8 years solid experience in social service, with at least 5 years at supervisory level
3. Sound knowledge on NGOs, social policies and volunteering development
4. Well-connected with organizations in different sectors
5. Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
6. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage 
7. Experience with CRM database is an asset 

2-year renewable contract. Remuneration will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
