Role Summary:As a Principal Data Scientist, you will lead our data science efforts, innovating and overseeing the development of advanced analytical models. This leadership role requires extensive experience in data science, mastery of technical skills, and the ability to mentor a team towards achieving groundbreaking solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions.

Drive innovation in data science methodologies and best practices.

Present insights and recommendations to executive leadership for strategic decision-making.

Advanced Modeling: Lead the creation of sophisticated predictive models, utilizing Python's ecosystem, including advanced libraries and frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch for deep learning applications.

Technical Leadership: Mentor a team of data scientists in best practices for data analysis, modeling, and validation. Oversee the technical aspects of projects, ensuring the use of best-in-class methodologies and tools.

Strategic Collaboration: Work with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to define data science strategies that align with business goals.

Innovation and Research: Drive innovation by staying abreast of the latest trends in machine learning and data science. Encourage a culture of continuous learning and experimentation within the team.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Advanced degree (PhD/ Masters) in a quantitative field.

8+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record in predictive modeling and machine learning.

Expertise in Python, Pandas, NumPy, and machine learning libraries (Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Knowledge of AWS cloud services and architecture for data science projects.

Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire a team.

Nice to Have

Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge or expertise in specific industries such urban planning, logistics, or retail.

Advanced Machine Learning Techniques: Expertise in cutting-edge machine learning techniques, including reinforcement learning, generative adversarial networks (GANs), or natural language processing (NLP), LLMs.

Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and experience in translating technical insights into strategic business recommendations, enhancing the impact of data science on business decisions.

ML-related Cloud Certifications: Certifications in AWS or other cloud platforms, demonstrating a deeper understanding of cloud services and architecture.
