About this opportunity As Account at Align Technology, you will be responsible for the timely completion of our EMEA close process and the accuracy of the EMEA financial statements under US GAAP and local GAAP. You will be responsible for assigned general ledger activities, working across accounting functions and international teams. In this role, you will… Have the following responsibilties: Financial Accounting:

• Ensuring all the journal accounting activities are booked in the ERP system in timely manner (purchase & sales invoices, bank movements, import & export files, employee travel expense reports etc.)
• Controlling all the accounting slips are in line with the related documents, according to the rules of Turkish Tax System and regulations
• Ensuring all tax returns are prepared, approved and paid within legal deadline
• Ensuring AP/AR Reconciliations are done
• In charge of all monthly and yearly accounting closing activities
• Preparing financial statement ( Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Trial Balance Statement)
• Controlling fix assets accounting entries, preparing fix assets report & Inventory follow up
• Maintain and oversee all accounting procedures and processes by establishing a Chart of Accounts and ensuring the application of the Group Accounting Policies and Procedures as well as Local Regulation
• Coordinating month-end close process in collaboration with Shared Services center / Regional Accounting team and answering incoming questions.
• Maintains mapping between Turkish GAAP and US GAAP chart of accounts
• Providing support to the finance / accounting manager
• Shared Services Go-to person for Turkish legal entity: month-end close, ad-hoc requests
• Provides a full support of Align Turkey financial and accounting activities

Processes and Internal Controls Compliance:

• Process definition: together with Entity finance manager, ensure accounting/finance processes are documented and compliant with Align internal policies.
• SOX controls to be performed and documented
• Supports the implementation of Global Corporate Policies as well as Accounting Treatment changes and US GAAP reporting,

Statutory and Tax Compliance:

• Controlling of all prepared tax declarations and government-related forms in timely manner (VAT1, VAT2, Stamp Duty, Recycling Tax, Turkish Statistical Institute etc.)
• Preparation of tax declarations and government-related forms in timely manner (Withholding Tax Return, SSI, Provisional Tax Return, CIT ETC. )
• Uploading E-ledger
• Key role during statutory audits, corporate tax audits as well as other tax inspections with local authorities

Perform USGAAP – Local GAAP TB monthly reconciliation and preparation of report regarding the differences In this role, you’ll need …

• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Finance/Economics
• 5-6+ years of relevant work experience in financial accounting at a multinational working environment
• CPA (SMMM) licence or being CPA (SMMM) intern
• Preferably exepreince from Big4 or outsourcing accounting experience
• Strong accounting skills
• IT skills: MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP (especially LOGO and SAP) knowledge are needed.
• Fluent in English and Turkish
• Knowledge of E-Invoice, E-archive, E-ledger
• Process oriented mindset: defining end-to-end processes, process optimization
• Ability to manage flexible workload
• Proficient in general accounting under LOCAL GAAP & US GAAP and SOX requirements
• Ability to partner with cross-functional groups to drive and influence business solutions
• Problem solver, system oriented and strong analytical skills
• Excellent written, oral and communication skills to work with management and cross-functional groups
• Detailed-oriented with effective organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge and experience in accounting operations with strong attention to detail
