Position: Bookkeeper Working Hours: London Timezone; 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Salary Range: up to 1500 USD / Monthly About the role We are currently looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations. You will handle essential tasks such as recording financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, processing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting payroll, VAT, and ROS functions. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in generating financial reports, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, experience with accounting software, and a solid understanding of bookkeeping practices.   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software and order management systems
  • Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and Payments.
Bank Reconciliation:
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Process invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors.
  • Manage accounts receivable and follow up on payments from customers.
General Ledger Maintenance:
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger.
  • Ensure proper coding and classification of financial transactions.
Financial Reporting:
  • Generate and analyze financial reports on a regular basis.
  • Provide support in preparing financial statements for review.
Payroll, VAT, ROS:
  • Payroll, VAT, ROS
Assist in Audits:
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
  • Prepare necessary documentation and schedules for audit purposes.
Compliance:
  • Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in the implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Brightpay, Banking software) is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience working in a multi-company group.
  • Experience in a high-volume transaction business.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
  • High level of integrity and adherence to ethical standards in financial practices.
