MPG has been retained by a FTSE 100, Business Intelligence MNC to hire a Head of FP&A. The role will be based in KL and require intermittent travels across SEA. This role holds significant importance within the finance team, as they advance on our transformational path towards enhanced sustainability and competitiveness. In your capacity as the new Head of FP&A, you will directly report to the Head of Finance & Operations and oversee a team comprising FP&A and Accounting professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with the business, offering targeted performance management, decision support, analysis, and insight, facilitating the Leadership Team in crafting and implementing effective strategies.

• Oversee and manage all aspects of fundamental financial planning and analysis, such as budgeting, planning, spending, forecasting, analytics, implementation, and report generation.
• Produce robust forecast that achieve business objectives by contributing to monthly S&OP forecasting process, managing top-down targets allocation and bottoms-up consolidation of different markets/ brands/ channels within the organization accurately.
• Review analysis results to develop insightful suggestions for investment, sourcing, and cost reduction, leading to strategic business decisions.
• Liaise with Function Heads, Regional Top Management, and Strategy Divisions to set targets across entities and regions.
• Plan the budget and budget consolidation across the network.
• Provide Regional and Global management with advice on the financial implications of business activities, change management, and commercial strategies to enable strategic decision-making.
• Ensure team participation and relevant support on process improvement initiatives such as implementation of BI tools, process automation etc.
• Lead commercial-financial insights and analysis for the business, serving as the focal point for complex business-financial queries and providing advice to stakeholders.
• Provide insight into levels of resources required to optimize profitability at both gross margin and operating margin levels.
• Support the business in gathering evidence to assess the costs, benefits and risks of a wide range of delivery options when making decisions and provide advice which helps secure value-for-money.
• Participate in decisions related to strategic initiatives and operational models, including cost and pricing. Drive price setting process to identify the pricing objective & benchmark, analyze competitor pricing strategy and determine pricing methodology.

Who we want

• Professional qualifications would be a plus (ACCA/ ICAEW/ CPA/ CIMA)
• Proven experience within an FP&A role, Big 4 exposure is a good to have.
• See big picture / connecting the dots, see through the clutter – formulate insights.
• IT proficiency (Comfortable with Excel / Power Point / BI Tool)
• Highly analytical, inquisitive and forward-facing mindset
• Good written and oral communication skills. Able to communicate clearly, concisely and in ways that promote understanding to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
