Senior Policy researcher Consultant

Job Description

1. Respond to requests for information from key stakeholders on a wide range of trade and industry issues.
2. Read and interpret legislation, statutes, economic review reports & outlook and analyze the impact on the business sector. 
3. Write and edit policy reports initiated by the team. 
4. Read the international & regional reports on the economic status of Egypt and accurately synthesize key findings and policy recommendations for the stakeholders. 
5. Contribute project concept ideas individually and as a member of teams. Assist in linking projects between departments and with other organizations. 
6. Participate in internal and external meetings as needed. 
7. Contribute to blogs, newsletters and other written products. 
8. Perform other IMC duties as required. 

Job Requirements

1. Minimum master degree in economics, statistics, or business.
2. At least 10 years of experience
3. At least 7 years of previous experience in  policy research and analysis
4. Bachelor in Economic studies education is preferred. 
5. Extensive knowledge of trade and industry polices 
6. Builds and maintains good team relations. 
7. Collaborates effectively with other staff members and representatives from partner organizations. 
8. Identifies the organization of tasks and the time schedules to help accomplish goals efficiently, creatively and effectively.
9. Self-motivated and works autonomously with minimal supervision
