Design & Estimation Engineer

Job Description

• The candidate must have estimation & design experience in both (Firefighting and Fire alarm systems).
• Responsible for reviewing the scope of work, specifications, drawings and BOQ to prepare project cost estimations.
• Capable of reviewing specifications and preparing compliance statements.
• Prepare of firefighting & fire alarm design drawings and technical submittals.
• Evaluate client’s existing fire protection design by reviewing drawings/site survey data and prepare recommendations.
• The candidate must have excellent communication & English-speaking skills to attend online technical meetings with clients.
• Possess the knowledge and experience of NFPA, firefighting, fire alarm systems, FM200, NOVEC, Foam, and wet chemical kitchen hood fire protection systems.
• Have knowledge of the fire protection systems brands and overall markets.
• Good Skills in AutoCAD, MS Office, Elite software for Hydraulic calculations for (FM200, NOVEC and Co2) fire suppression systems.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Power Engineering or Equivalent.
• Previous experience with minimum 7 - 8 Years as a Design & Estimation Engineer.
• Proven experience using CAD software, Elite software and knowledge of SolidWorks is a plus.
• Good understanding of value engineering, safety standards and environmental impact of a design.
• Ability to present in front of stakeholders and managers.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Attention to details.
