Senior Accountant Construction

Job Description

• Main Role: directly supports the finance department by completing various accounting functions and ensuring necessary transactions/data is collected and processed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable
• Petty cash settlement.
• Issue bank checks.
• Confirm balances of contractors and suppliers at the end of each year.
• Completing purchase orders.
• Completing bank reconciliations.
• Entering financial information into appropriate software programs.
• Managing company ledgers.
• Processing business expenses.
• Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies.
• Verifying bank deposits.
• Managing day-to-day transactions.
• Recording office expenditures and ensuring these expenses are within the set budget
• Treasury.
• Posting daily receipts
• Reporting on debtors and creditors.
• Handling accruals and prepayments.
• Encoding accounting entries for data processing.
• Sorting financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts.
• Reviewing computer reports for accuracy and meticulously tracing errors back to their source.
• Resolving errors in financial reports and correcting faulty reporting methods.
• Prepare and file tax reports.
• Assist in monthly financial close.
• Extracting reapportion projects to know the costs.  

Job Requirements

• Proficient in Excel
• Bachelor degree in accounting
• Experience from 5 to 7 year.
• Experience in the Construction Sector is a must 5 year 
• Communication skills - written and verbal English is requirement 
• Kowledge of tax insurance lows
• Problem assessment and problem solving
• Information gathering and information monitoring
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
