Salary Login to View Salary Years of experience 2-3 years Shift(s) Morning Shift Job request ID JR-12834 Job Description PURPOSE The Accounts Receivable/Credit Control Officer is responsible for the timely collection of payments due from customers and for the management of company's exposure to the risk of bad debt. ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Ensure that customer collections are made in accordance with agreed payment terms
  • Ensure that DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) targets are achieved
  • Eliminate bad debt write off by an ongoing program of customer risk reviews
  • Evaluate new customer applications, conduct client credit checks, and monitor account status/credit holds
  • Transmit invoices and statements to customers, including loading documents onto customer vendor portals where required
  • Liaise with Sales and Operational staff to ensure that any customer issues affecting payment are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Agree monthly collection targets with the Finance Accountant and prepare weekly ‘Burndown’ report
  • Post cash collected to the sales ledger each day, ensuring customer ledgers are correct and reconciled
  • Prepare statements and reports as required by the Finance Accountant
  • Drive continuous improvement across accounts receivable and credit control.

 SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & LICENCES
  • Bachelor degree, preferably Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a similar role, including credit control
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting
  • Excellent written English and oral communication skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Proactive, motivated and flexible
  • Experience with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Experience with Navision highly regarded but not essential
  • Experience working with Australian companies preferred but not essential
