Job Description

Our 5-star hotel in Manama, Bahrain is seeking an experienced and talented Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement menus that meet the needs and preferences of our diverse clientele.
  2. Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  3. Manage and train kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen personnel.
  4. Ensure that all kitchen operations comply with health and safety regulations.
  5. Monitor food costs and inventory levels to maximize profitability.
  6. Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to create and execute special events and promotions.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  8. Stay up to date with industry trends and innovations in culinary techniques and ingredients.
  9. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  10. Manage the kitchen budget and control expenses.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in a culinary leadership role, preferably in a 5-star hotel or fine dining establishment.
  2. Strong knowledge of international cuisine and culinary techniques.
  3. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  5. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  8. Ability to adapt to changing customer preferences and market trends.
  9. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  10. Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
