The key role of this position is that of a seasoned professional with several years of related experience including field, staff, support and supervisory assignments, providing leadership to a cross functional team operating the legal entities of MaK Asia Pacific with direct reports located in Singapore and Shanghai JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide leadership to the team operating the legal entities.
  • Ensure compliant, safe and profitable operations.
  • Lead all aspects of services and direct distribution for all Caterpillar large medium speed engines (MSE) and products in the region for Marine Oil & Gas and land based power plants
  • Deliver business plan on parts and services sales.
  • Lead with a customer focused mindset, foster customer relationship, drive customer satisfaction improvement and business relationship enhancement.
  • Network the global Caterpillar- and dealer organization
SKILLS DESCRIPTORS:
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of marine or oil and gas or electric power direct services to the industry. ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
