About the job Microsoft Power Platform Developer ( HybrId , South Africa )Role Summary:Enterprise Business Applications (EBA) require a Microsoft Power Platform Low Code Developer who is dynamic and skilled at designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform. This includes Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents. The developer will be responsible for creating efficient business solutions and workflows, fostering data-driven decision-making, and enhancing overall business performance through the Power Platforms low-code environment.This role is a unique opportunity to leverage low-code development skills to optimise business processes and drive digital transformation in a fast-paced, evolving technological landscape.Qualifications /Certifications required:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Certifications (Preferred):Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution ArchitectExperience required:Proven experience in developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform components (minimum 2 years).Strong understanding of Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, and Power BI.Experience with Microsoft Dataverse and integration with various data sources.Knowledge of common data service, AI Builder, and Power Platform governance and security.Responsibilities of role:Solution Development: Design and develop robust solutions using Power Apps, customizing forms, and integrating data from various sources.Workflow Automation: Implement process automation using Power Automate, including the creation of automated workflows between apps and services.Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilise Power BI to transform data into actionable insights and create comprehensive reports and dashboards.Virtual Agents Creation: Develop intelligent virtual agents using Power Virtual Agents to enhance user engagement and support.Collaboration and Support: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide ongoing support for developed solutions.Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality, efficiency, and scalability of solutions by adhering to best practices and conducting thorough testing.Training and Documentation: Provide training to users and create detailed documentation for developed solutions.Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest updates and features in the Power Platform and related technologies.Desirable skill setsinclude:Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including the programme team, third parties, and clients.Functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 PowerPlatform in terms of the out-of-the-box functionality and solution constraints.Understanding of business transformation programmes, not just technology or software implementations.An understanding of relevant business processes (e.g. finance, sales, purchase to pay, warehouse management for finance) and some experience in effective to-be processes.Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Other Requirements: Familiarity with additional programming languages and Microsoft 365 integration would be advantageous.Role related attributes:Display strong initiative and optimism in facilitating communication, cooperation, and understanding between the technical team and business stakeholders, and in sharing individual views for the creation of technical solution.
