Citrix Engineer

VTG Solutions is currently seeking a versatile and experienced Citrix Engineer/Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Citrix environment while also providing desktop support services to our internal users. If you have a strong background in Citrix administration and desktop support, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:Manage and maintain the Citrix environment, including XenApp, XenDesktop, and NetScaler Gateway, ensuring optimal performance and availability.Design, deploy, and troubleshoot virtualized applications and desktops for internal users.Provide level 2 and level 3 desktop support to resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for end-users.Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration between the Citrix environment and other systems and applications.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades, and system backups to ensure system stability and security.Monitor system performance and proactively address any issues or bottlenecks to maintain a high level of performance and user satisfaction.Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and documentation related to Citrix and desktop support.Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to Citrix virtualization and desktop support.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.3+ years of experience in Citrix administration, including experience with XenApp, XenDesktop, and NetScaler Gateway.Strong desktop support experience, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a Windows environment.Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V is a plus.Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with end-users and colleagues at all levels of the organization.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.Certifications such as Citrix Certified Associate (CCA) or Citrix Certified Professional (CCP) are preferred but not required.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and initiative.VTG Solutions offers a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional development and advancement.
